Rangers Open 2009 At Home Against Indians

by @ 7:15 pm. Filed under 2009 Rangers

Nothing like kicking off the season against last year’s Cy Young.  Unfortunately, that’s what the Rangers have to contend with as they start their season tomorrow at home against the Indians and Cliff Lee.  Kevin Millwood takes the mound for Texas and once again, it looks like pitching is going to make or break the Rangers season.  It’ll be an interesting season for Rangers fans.  Can Josh Hamilton repeat on last year’s outstanding season?  Can Elvis Andrus contend with the duties of manning shortstop for a major league team?  Can the Rangers patch together a rotation that carries them to a playoff berth?

Softball season is kicking off and I’m happy to use one of my brand new DeMarini bats.  There’s just something about the way the ball comes off of a DeMarini.  I also picked up a Rawlings Glove for my son from Baseball Rampage.    If you’ve never checked out the site, I highly recommend it for everything and anything related to baseball.
