Rangers Finish May In First Place, Barely

by @ 11:18 pm. Filed under 2011 Rangers

The Rangers are now through two months of the season and it hasn’t been pretty.  Texas is just 29-26 and they’re tied for first with the Mariners and only 2 1/2 games back of the last place Athletics.  Hopefully the AL Champs can get it together so they can get a nice lead over the next couple of months.

They had a three game winning streak going but they dropped yesterday’s game to the Rays.  C.J. Wilson struck out ten but he gave up three runs in 6 2/3 innings.  Arthur Rhodes was hit hard and he gave up two runs in the ninth and he took the loss.

Michael Young went two for four with an RBI.  Ian Kinsler singled, drove in a run and scored once.

The rubber game is this afternoon.  Game time is 1:10 and it’ll be Colby Lewis going up against David Price.
